We share unbiased reviews of restaurants, hotels and attractions we visited and useful travel tips to help you plan your itinerary. Zhiqiang & Tingyi, Passport Chop

Interview with Zhiqiang from Passport Chop
What makes your blog different from other travel blogs in the country?
Zhiqiang: We plan our trips for a value for money and authentic experience e.g. 2-week trip around Turkey. We then share at PassportChop.com reviews and travel tips on where to eat, see, play, and sleep e.g. places to see in Kuala Lumpur, as well as what to avoid e.g. Prague taxi scams to avoid.

Readers can download our customisable trip itineraries for their trip planning reference. Our travel videos and photos provide a preview of what readers can expect from each destination.

We understand the challenges of trip planning where information is lacking e.g. finding that obscure little café that serves the best egg tarts in Macau. Thus, we share maps, directions and reviews of these interesting places.

Whether they are are just curious about what to eat or plan very detailed hour-by-hour trip itinerary (like us!), we try to be a one-stop travel resource for our readers.

Be it good or bad, which Asian city/town left you the deepest impression? And why?
Zhiqiang: Travelling around Turkey for 2 weeks was our best travel moment. In one country, we were able to enjoy different experiences from being scrubbed clean by a burly man during a Turkish Bath session at a local hamam to exploring the beautiful “cotton castle” of Pamukkale and Roman ruins of Hierapolis.

This trip was quite an experience as we travel the way the locals do – by overnight buses to different destinations in Turkey and stayed at cave houses! We also enjoyed the sweet treats of Turkey from the baklava to Turkish delights.

Tell us your best “value for money” travel tip.
Zhiqiang: If you are spending a few days in a city and intend to check out a few attractions, get a city pass which provides free access to attractions and unlimited travel on public transport for a fixed price. You save time queuing for tickets and enjoy discounted travel.
